Culture & Careers

With over 50 years in a fast-paced, high-performance working environment, the heartbeat of our company is still our people, our team, and our community.

What makes Atlas Industries different?

We love what we do, but it’s our human relationships that inspire us the most, and we make sure that our values and actions reinforce our central driving force of people, team, and community.

Atlas Industries Shop with team of staff

  • Apprenticeship and trade skills.
  • Personal development and communication.
  • A pension package that exceeds industry norms, with matching up to 7%.
  • Strategic leadership development.
  • Benefits coverage for prescriptions, dental, orthodontic, and physio, as well as access to a health & wellness spending account and life and disability insurance.
Inspiring great teamwork

Thriving people make a great team.

People are more fulfilled, more motivated, and perform better within a positive team setting.

We sponsor this by offering:

  • Organized after-hours social events for all staff.
  • Toaster oven Tuesday (hot snacks available during coffee).
  • Employee birthday recognition.
  • Reward and recognition for “Employee of the Month“.
  • A strong and growing culture around safety.
  • Air-conditioned shop and clean air environment.
  • Rooftop deck and BBQ.
  • BBQs and early work departure the day before summer long weekends.
Community support inspires team pride

A great team is a positive asset to their community.

We have set initiatives in the following ways to be involved in our community:

Local Charity support
Non-profit organizations bring hope and resources to our community. Monetary donations and allocated paid staff hours each quarter facilitate staff engagement with these community organizations:

  • The Bridge.
  • The Friendship Inn.
  • White Buffalo Youth Lodge.
  • Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral.
  • MCC.
  • Saskatoon Food Bank.

Atlas Industries also assists with maintenance items, and use of our portable BBQ for community events.
Cultural training, education & Diversity, and strategic sourcing
  • Trade scholarships at Sask Polytech, SIIT, and work with The Gabriel Dumont Institute (GDI) assist young people seeking careers.
  • Engaging leaders in the Indigenous community to help our staff with perspective on Indigenous people.
  • Sourcing new suppliers by local and Indigenous content.
  • Direct hiring of Indigenous people.

It is our goal to maintain a minimum First Nations staff percentage of 15%.
